The Community Affairs Network meeting presents a valuable opportunity for us to engage in a dialogue regarding our collective strengths and areas where support is required as grassroots organizations. The CAN's Network aims to establish a cohesive support system in Massachusetts.

Our weekly virtual support group held every Thursday from 6:00-7:00PM offers a supportive environment for families who have experienced the loss of a loved one due to a substance use related cause and other causes. Through the provision of tools and resources, we assist individuals in processing their grief and trauma, ultimately empowering them to find healing and meaning in their journey. Additionally, we offer guidance in navigating systems that may not always prioritize the unique needs of grieving families. Moreover, we recognize the importance of amplifying diverse voices and perspectives, which is why we extend a special invitation to dads on DADS SPEAK WEEK, to share their experiences the 3rd Thursday of every month. This initiative seeks to break barriers and ensure that all members feel seen and heard in their healing process. We warmly welcome mothers, fathers, siblings, and friends to join us in our mission of support and empowerment. Each week we discuss topics that uplift our members one beat at a time. Email Janice@mothersagainstdrugs to register and receive the Zoom link.
MADMOMS and community members come together monthly for engaging community events. These fun and educational spaces foster open sharing of feelings through activities, creative arts, and substance use awareness, promoting well-being for the whole family. By engaging communities for change, we create a powerful approach that can lead to a brighter future.
Our mission at MADMOMS Read to Achieve for Drug Free Communities, in partnership with BPL is to educate and empower children through literature about substance use awareness. By providing valuable information through books, we aim to help children make informed decisions, resist peer pressure, and recognize warning signs of addiction and substance use disorder. Through prevention efforts, we strive to support children in avoiding harmful patterns of drug and alcohol use and promoting a drug-free community.
A therapeutic intervention utilizing dolls offered by The Doll House Corporation to facilitate healing and promote emotional well-being for mothers navigating grief and trauma by addressing and nurturing their inner child.
Loved ones struggling with substance use disorders may only own the backpacks on their backs. We hope to supply Harm Reduction backpacks to them yearly filled with clothing essentials, Narcan and more…
