The H.E.A.R.T. Project (Healing Empowerment and Resilience Together) provides a compassionate, survivor-led support group for individuals and families navigating grief, trauma, substance use, and other life-changing losses. Through meaningful conversations, peer support, education, and shared lived experiences, we create a safe space where healing begins, hope is restored, and no one has to walk their journey alone.
We believe every story deserves to be heard. By providing practical tools, emotional support, and guidance in navigating complex systems, we empower participants to transform pain into purpose and build resilience for themselves, their families, and future generations.
Mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, friends, and all who are grieving or supporting a loved one are welcome.

The 5IVE Star Studio Café “Where Stories Become Songs” The 5IVE Star Studio Café is a biweekly creative music initiative hosted at The Phoenix in Boston that supports individuals in recovery, those connected to someone in recovery, and individuals grieving a loved one lost to substance use or other tragedies.
Through the 5IVE Star Story-to-Song Method™, participants transform personal experiences into music by sharing stories, writing lyrics, and collaborating with others in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. The Studio Café provides a positive creative outlet that encourages self-expression, strengthens recovery, builds meaningful connections, and inspires hope.
By turning stories into songs, participants discover new ways to process life’s experiences, celebrate resilience, and remain engaged in a supportive recovery community where every story matters and every voice deserves to be heard.
Stories That Matter
MADMOMS Media is a storytelling platform that gives voice to mothers, fathers, families, and community members impacted by substance use, grief, trauma, and recovery. Through honest conversations, we preserve lived experiences, reduce stigma, inspire hope, and remind others that healing begins when stories are shared.
Holistic Healing Workshops are designed for families impacted by substance use disorders and other tragedies. This nurturing environment will offer therapeutic practices, mindfulness activities, and shared experiences to foster connection, resilience, and healing. Participants will engage in various holistic modalities aimed at promoting emotional well-being, self-discovery, and empowerment on their journey toward recovery.
At Mothers Against Drugs (MADMOMS), we believe that no one should have to navigate recovery, grief, or healing alone. We are committed to connecting individuals and families affected by substance use with trusted treatment, recovery, mental health, and community support services.
Through One Click Village, our online resource hub, individuals can access a growing network of organizations offering substance use treatment, recovery support, peer services, mental health resources, crisis assistance, housing, family support, and other essential community services all in one convenient place.
Our team understands the challenges of substance use and recovery because many of us have lived experience supporting loved ones and families through these journeys. We are committed to providing compassionate guidance, information, and referrals that help individuals and families find the support that best meets their needs.
Whether you are seeking treatment, recovery support, mental health resources, or services for yourself or someone you care about, MADMOMS is here to help connect you to the right resources.
We also invite you to explore the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), a trusted national resource offering information on prevention, treatment, recovery, behavioral health services, and a nationwide treatment locator. Recovery begins with one connection. Let One Click Village help you find yours.
MADMOMS Recovery Activation Tables
Connecting Communities to Recovery, Harm Reduction & Hope
The MADMOMS Recovery Activation Tables bring life-saving resources directly into neighborhoods with the greatest need. Located in community spaces such as libraries and other trusted locations, the tables provide free Naloxone (Narcan), fentanyl test strips, overdose prevention education, harm reduction resources, and referrals to treatment, recovery, mental health, and community support services through One Click Village.
By meeting people where they are, we reduce barriers to care, increase access to recovery resources, and help build healthier, safer communities one conversation, one connection, and one life at a time.
MADMOMS partners with BeHERE Initiative, an initiative of Health Resources in Action, to host overdose prevention and Naloxone (Narcan) trainings for members of the MADMOMS community. BeHERE provides evidence-based education and technical assistance focused on overdose prevention, harm reduction, reducing stigma, and building stronger, recovery-supportive communities. Their trainings are supported through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and are designed to increase knowledge and confidence in responding to opioid overdoses.
Through this partnership, MADMOMS offers community members, families, volunteers, and individuals in recovery the opportunity to learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, administer Naloxone (Narcan), practice rescue response techniques, understand harm reduction principles, and connect individuals to treatment, recovery, and community resources. These trainings help equip participants with the skills and confidence to respond during an overdose emergency and support MADMOMS’ mission of transforming grief into hope through education, prevention, and community healing.
The NOPE program is designed to strengthen community-based harm reduction and overdose prevention efforts, especially in communities serving Black and/or Latino men in Boston and Springfield.
The goal of the CNP is to prevent death from opioid overdose by increasing distribution of free naloxone to community bystanders across Massachusetts. Organizations that qualify for CNP can order Narcan™-brand naloxone at a partial or full subsidy directly from the State Office of Pharmacy Services (SOPS), depending on preference. This program allows for participating organizations to benefit from the state negotiated public interest pricing for naloxone. As of recent FDA approval, Narcan™ is now available as an Over the Counter (OTC) drug, therefore no further medication registrations are needed to order naloxone through CNP.
“MADMOMS Read to Achieve for Drug-Free Communities” in partnership with Boston Public Libraries and teachers from local schools, our mission is to educate and empower students and their families through the transformative power of literature focused on substance use awareness. By providing access to essential information through carefully selected books, we equip children with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions, resist peer pressure, and identify the warning signs of addiction and substance use disorders. Recognizing that substance use affects the entire family, our proactive prevention efforts aim to involve parents and guardians in this critical dialogue, supporting children in steering clear of harmful patterns associated with drug and alcohol use. Together, we seek to foster a healthier, drug-free community, where families thrive, united by the wisdom of knowledge and the courage to make positive choices.
